What is "Heirloom Quality" Furniture?

          Craftsman furniture is easily recognized by open vertical slats, a thick skeleton, and visible tenons in the mortise and tenon joints. Rustic, durable, and intentionally middle class, Arts and Crafts style furniture was meant to improve comfort in the average living room, and be passed from one generation to the next.  Essential pieces would include an oversized Morris chair, with plain leather upholstery, a waist-high sideboard table, and a bookcase with glass panes. 

 

What are your "Gift Items?"

 

          These are items are available for purchase via the WEB site.  These items are also available for donation in exchange for advertising acknowledgements to "not for profit" organizations for raffles, charitable events, and "not for profit" fund raisers such as NPR’s fund drives.  Items such as a series boxes, cutting boards, and desk clocks, which are made from the furniture manufacturing remnants.
